Test #1

Well... it's finally here... My first test this training period: Cedars of Lebanon Frostbite Half Marathon.

A few things could happen tomorrow...

A. I will PR (this WILL happen... if I can't PR, then I'll just quit... Hey... don't judge, just call me Paula Radcliffe).
B. I will finish in under 2 hours.
C. I will finish and kick some major ass and get drunk (on something low calorie of course... like vodka) to celebrate.
D. I will finish and be disappointed and get drunk (on something high calorie of course) and cry.
E. I will finish and be OK with my results and go on with my Saturday normally.

So, yeah... as a reader, you should be hoping for anything in the A-D range. Cause with E, you're just not going to get a quality race report on Monday.

See ya monday!

i laughed my butt off. Run smart. DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT, go out too fast...you got two hours in the bags. Practice good form, conserve a little, and let it rip on the final miles. I think you'll surprise yourself.

Good luck! And please write the race report drunk?

You will do great, and I'm pulling for E, and Danielle in Iowa's suggestion that you write your race report toasted.

Good Luck....if you can do the PWP 11.2, then you got this little 1/2 marathon whipped. I wanted to run this, but my son's baseball draft is at 11am. And since I am a coach, I have to bave to be there.

I'm going to write down what I think you will finish in and reveal it to you after the race.

Do we need to bring another riesling to the race?

Were you in a royal blue tank and your hair in a pony tail? If so, I think I saw you at the start.

The gravel miles S-U-C-K-E-D. I was on pace for a 2:09 finish at the half-way point, but the gravel screwed me up and I finished 2:15:10. Still can't overcome that bastard 2:15. Also made my usual mistake of running miles 1-3 too fast. They were my fastest of the day. Hope you had a good race!!
