Ahhhh....A fresh start. A brand new year! And of course that means it's time for New Year's Resolutions! I've decided to share all of my resolutions with you, rather than just the running or health related goals. I figure they need to be listed all in one place and also because posting them on a public blog will ensure that I follow through, right? Right?
I mean, you guys are totally witness to all of my blog postings detailing plans to do great and amazing things (or maybe to just stop being lazy). Like when I made plans to complete the 100 Push-Up Challenge, easy breezy...no sweat. Or the (countless) times that I slacked off from working out and then vowed to become hardcore April again. And how about the time that I binged on chocolate cake and Big Mama's spaghetti gravy for 3 days straight, but then made a deal with myself to stick to fruits, veggies and whole grains from that point on? I followed through with all of these plans, improving myself all the while....didn't I?
Soooooo...actually, that would be a big fat negative. Try as I might, I've had a little difficulty achieving my goals this year. Hey, that can be resolution #1!!
#1 Achieve goals. (Am I clever or what?)
And now for the rest of the list, in no particular order:
#2 Join a Pilates class and attend regularly
#3 Run at least 5 times/week
#4 Strength training at least 2 times/week
#5 Finish the books I start
#6 Learn how to create and design websites
#7 Complete some of my home improvement projects
#8 Order prints and organize my photos
#9 Volunteer at LeBonheur Children's Hospital
#10 Become a better listener
What are your resolutions?
run, rest, eat, bitch, buy things, cross-train, blog, repeat.

Good luck with your resolutions!

Good resolutions! And this way since you posted them, hopefully you can go back to them throughout the year and track your progress! Good luck!
Hey, April. Sorry this is only my first comment on one of your posts! My resolution is to comment on your posts from now on. Just remember, (and you can ask Amy) I'm one sarcastic SOB.
Good luck :)
I need to make #5 one of mine too...I swear I have at least a dozen books started right now, and I will maybe finish one, as soon as I get around to actually reading.
I'm not sure I agree with no. 5. In general a good idea, but if you know a book isn't worth reading and you've given it a go, don't waste your time finishing it just for the sake of finishing. Maybe resolve to have fewer books "in progress" at any given time, so that you keep reading the same book until it's done or you've decided it's not worth reading. Your time is more valuable than that. But they're your resolutions, that's just my suggestion. Good luck!
Sounds like good ones. Good Luck!!!
Good luck with all the resolutions. I might make mine up as I go. 1. Do well at the Knoxville Marathon. 2. Finish all the books I just bought.

Happy New Year and good luck with all your goals, I'm sure they'll be a piece of cake. And if not, a piece of cake is a great consolation prize.
