January... in Nashville.

A study of the weather of Nashville in January...

My attire for my long run yesterday (Sunday) at 8:30 am. Sleeveless tank top and shorts. (Don't mind the fact that I look like a drowned rat... I know you're thinking that's all sweat... but it's actually rain. I got caught in a nasty downpour the last mile). So, 61 degrees yesterday. Cloudy, breezy, with scattered showers, but super mild and awesome.
Fast forward less than 24 hours to this morning...

Underarmour leggings, shorts, tech long sleeve t-shirt, hooded sweatshirt, gloves, and earmuffs. 31 degrees. Ugh. It could have been worse though... it could have been raining.

Sadly, it's supposed to be raining like every morning this week. I guess I'm going to have to learn how to tough it out and run in the rain this week...

Rain + Cold Weather + Running = SUCKY.

I had a day like that a few weeks ago. Saturday 61 and humid, Sunday 25 and 30mph winds. Just can't win this time of the year. wait til summer and then we'll complain about the heat.

I know what you mean. It looks like this is the perfect week for me to be nursing an injury.

That better change by next Monday! I'm such a wuss now that I still haven't run outside here yet, but that's mainly due to snow on sidewalks and ice on the roads. I'd rather run on a treadmill than break my ass.

My Monday run went well. The rain this morning sucked!!! But atleast it stopped about a mile into it.
