Thankfully there was an open wine and beer bar, which I think helped loosen everyone up a bit. It was cool seeing people 10 years later and finding out what they're up to. Most people haven't changed (and I mean that in a good way)!
Both of us ran 12-13 miles that morning (mostly so that we could brag to everyone that we had ran 12-13 miles that morning. Cause, yes... since high school we have turned into hardcore marathoners). I had some killer blisters on my feet, but I got the cutest new shoes and I was determined to wear them. 6 Band Aids, 3 on each foot, solved that problem! I didn't do much dancing though...probably a good thing.
And because, there just simply aren't enough crazy, posed photos of the two of us, we decided to take a signature "amy drunken pirate photo" at the after-party.
(We are so hot.) Ha!

12-13 miles, new shoes and a drunker pirate, sounds like a wonderful 10 year reunion. And you're not old; you are in your marathon prime!!!
Your photo is too funny! Sounds like you had quite a bit to brag about - only hard core marathoners run 12-13mi the weekend of ... Way to go!
