So, I am one of the unfortunate ones... I am one of the runners who happens to run in pricey running shoes. Yeah. My shoes retail for $119.00. It totally sucks.So, I've got about 390 miles on my current pair and I've been waiting for my Dick's $10 gift certificate to come in the mail, which it did on Thursday. So, Dick's usually runs these shoes on sale for $109 and I had the $10 gift certificate, plus I had a $10 coupon and I cut out a double points coupon from the paper yesterday, so not only did I pay 98 (after 8 bucks of tax.. uggh) for my shoes, but I also got double reward points for them! Nice!!
And these are the new model.. the Nimbus 9, so I'm anxious to run in them. But tomorrow is a rest day, so they'll have to wait till Wednesday morning. I'm not going to completely stop using the old pair, I'll probably still use them on the trail at Moss Wright, since the humidity makes them so dirty, obviously. God, are they ever dirty.
This long weekend has been action packed with running. Saturday I ran 10.75, Sunday I ran 3, and this morning I ran 6. So, I havent had a rest day in about 8 days, so I'm really looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning! Yay!

I also just wanted to say that I'm proud of you for an excellent week of running! You almost hit the 40 mile mark!! Enjoy your day of rest. You deserve it!
p.s. you know that I will always have to refer to your shoes as "Harry Potter shoes," don't you?
