This morning I was supposed to get up at like 4:30 and run 8 miles for my long run. I did neither.
I did, however, get up at 4:10 and run 5.3 miles on the treadmill. And then hopped off and proceeded to get things ready for my trip today.
Uggh. I'm a slacker, I know.
I know that the Long Run is the bread-n-butter of marathon training. I know that the Long Run is the MOST important part of marathon training. I know, I know, I know. And so far, I've failed to hit that first Long Run mark of 8 miles. Dammit.
But this training is guilt-free training. I will not feel guilty about not getting in a long run. Instead, I will just plan for a 9-10 miler next week and all former long run failures will be forgotten.
In other news... You know what it's time for??? It's time for one of our, top 5 fave songs to listen to while running... cause, I DESPERATELY need some new tunes. If I hear 50 cent's "In da club" one more time, I might just go crazy and bust a cap in someone's dome, yo!
run, rest, eat, bitch, buy things, cross-train, blog, repeat.

Um...failure? Wow. What does that make me? You even labeled it under slacking. I think we have different opinions of the meaning of slacking.
