The Most Productive 3.5 Hours of the Day.

The other day I was thinking about everything that I do in the mornings before I even get into work at 8:30 every day. It kinda seemed like a lot, so I decided to make a blog post chronicling everything that I do in the mornings from the moment I wake up until I get into work.

Riveting, no?

Anyway... here goes... with PICTURES! That are going to be shitty because of the flash and because I'm a shitty photographer. Also, it should be mentioned that when I originally thought of this idea... it seemed fun! and brilliant! And so I took an assload of pictures... and then I started typing this bitch of a post out and I realized... oh my god, this is such a lame idea for a blog post, nobody gives a shit that you brush your teeth in the morning... but whatever, I took all these goddamn pictures, so I'm posting them. I apologize in advance. Feel free to skip and go about your day...

Wednesday July 20, 2011 (and this same exact schedule pretty much exists for every other day of the week, too).

Wake up to my alarm clock:

5:05 punk! Better get your ass up... you've got 14 minutes to head out...

My goal is to be in my car by 5:19/5:20. So, I take 14/15 minutes to pee, put my contacts in, do my brushing...
Teeth first!

Then body!

And get my running clothes and shoes on. And then its time to head down to the car...
Right on time. And yes, sometimes I listen to Bob and Tom in the morning.

I meet up with my running buddy Steve at a local park and we crank out 4 miles...
Then I drive back home..

When I get home... I immediately shower.
And then I dry off, lotion up, throw my hair in a towel, and put on some bum-around clothes. Then I go into my hallway and throw down my yoga mat and meditate for 20 minutes...

Some of the best 20 minutes I'll spend all day.

After I meditate, I actually get back into bed and take a nap for 15-20 minutes (depending on how much time I have)...
Some of the best 15-20 minutes I'll spend all day, again.

After my nap, it's time to get up and get ready. I put make up on, blow dry and straighten my hair.. which takes a total of about 15-20 minutes.

Then I make up the bed...
And get dressed for work...

And if I'm lucky (about 2 times out of 10) I'll actually end up wearing what I had picked out the night before! Today was one of those days...

Now it's time to grab my stuff and head back down to the car...
Purse, keys, sunglasses!

I drive to get my breakfast...
And apparently I drive in the middle of the road. Awesome.

And wind up at my local grocery store/health food store...
Yay for the Turnip Truck!

I go inside, and say hello to the people that I see there everyday and they start to prepare my juice...
While it's getting made, I browse the aisles...

And when it's done, I pay and head back out to my car to drive back home...

One Ninja Turtle Juice... Cucumber, Celery, Broccoli, Parsley, and Spinach. YUM!

I get home and park my car and then immediately head outside to walk to work...
And then... I get into work and at my desk at 8:30...

Ready to start the day, bitches!

I am a 2 year old, I swear. I LOVE having a routine. Same thing everyday... Whats your routine in the morning look like?

Hey, this is a funny post. Like you, from 5 to the time I get to the office (9 or so) - I get more things done than at work sometimes.

Tuesday/Thursdays I take a spin (or bootcamp) class around the corner at 6 AM. (Also this would be my schedule if I ran before work):
Up at 5:15
Leave house by 5:50
Workout
home by 7 AM
shower, do hair, pack lunch, get dressed, walk to T, commute to work
in the office by 8:45ish!

Wow it seems like you a put almost an entire day in, before you even get to work! I like routine too: up at 6, check e-mail, have breakfast (oats or grits or something similar) take the dog for a walk at 7 or run (depending on the day of the week), shower, read the paper, and then start work at 9:00
