I'm back!! 10 days in Scotland and Ireland was AMAZING... and I wasn't ready to get back home. Not at all. But, back I am... and ready to get back to a summer routine (tax season over, baby!).
I've decided it's time to kick up the strength training, the diet, the yoga, and the running. I love the summer (not the heat, but the long days and less busy work schedule) and it's the ideal time of year for me to get serious about my health and body! Wooo hoooo.
Right now, my main objective is how to incorporate the two loves of my life (running and yoga) into my everyday life WITH some strength training workouts a couple days a week, too.
Last summer I was able to do yoga 6-7 days a week and run about 5 days a week, too and it was great. But I wasn't really getting in good mileage with my runs. They were more like maintenance runs, than anything else. I'd like to get my weekly mileage up a bit and try to do some more trail-running, too.
So, that's the plan. I'm not going to take the time to pound out a training plan (that would give me immense pleasure in scheduling and immense anxiety and grief when I failed to follow the plan), I'm just going to do what I can, when I can and I think that will be enough.
I'll try to post a few pics and reports of the trip this week. It was an amazing time and something I'm sure I'll talk about and remember fondly for the rest of my life!
run, rest, eat, bitch, buy things, cross-train, blog, repeat.
