Eh

So this morning's run kind of sucked. First off, I was really tired. Sunday night, I just could not go to sleep because I couldn't shut my brain off. You know how that is? There is a lot going on right now in my non-running life and some big decisions to be made in the near future. So anyhow, lately, I've been having trouble sleeping. And that makes morning runs difficult for me. But this morning, I managed to drag myself out of bed and quickly get down some coffee before I changed my mind and headed back to the comfort and coziness of my bed.

I'm glad I did and I only had to do 3 miles, but they really weren't enjoyable...or comfortable for that matter. I was stiff and achy. I had to stop and stretch out my soreness like 3 times and when I started running again, I felt like my legs would barely move. Like I was just shuffling along. When I focused on lengthening my stide and smothing out my form, I got a sharp pain at the injured spot. So the best I could do was to shuffle along. I'm sure it wasn't pretty. (And I pride myself on my good running form). I felt like an old woman.

Sometimes I wonder if my body just wasn't made for distances over 10 miles. I'm going to keep pushing on, but I sure hope it gets better than this.

Well, you could always just get really good at running ten miles :-)
