1. Drink as much water as humanly possible to prepare for the WARM 20+ mile training run in the morning.
2. Continuing carbing up... (8 beers last night count for something, right?). This includes my lucky meal of Mellow Mushroom Pizza for dinner. Yum.
3. Lay out everything I need for in the morning: water bottle filled and ready , gatorade, banana for post-run, my visor, a diet coke, along with my clothing for tomorrow's run.
4. Watch some tv and relax.
5. Take a shower and get into bed by 9pm. Set alarm clock for 4:45am.
The funny thing? I love this lifestyle...

it is a great lifestyle, but my long runs are on Sundays, so my wild and crazy night is always Saturday.
im glad that im not the only one with hydration, carbs, and going to bed early as the highlights of my friday night.
saturday mornings when i run i always think: my friends are asleep or hungover, and i am eating gu.
and i love it, too : )
i am with you. i got to enjoy my saturday morning long runs, and the prep that went into it friday night. can't wait to get back to it.
totally feel you on that tip - my long run is on sundays though that may change now.. my fav prep activity - making my running mix on the ipod!
8 beers? Wow. I think my beers/martinis/scotch added some carbs for me as well.
I hear ya... whenever I'm training for a full, all of my Friday nights are the same way. I wouldn't trade it either. I can always nap Saturday and go out that night.
Good luck with your run tomorrow!!
It so totally rocks doesnt it? I love it too! I hope you had a great 20 miler today and that the warm temps didnt hinder your efforts. I had my last 20 miler last weekend and the temps were in the 40's and it rained the entire 3 hours I ran....and I got beat to death by the wind. Looking forward to your report :-)
