On tap...

I'm happy to report that I had no groin pain today. Woo Hoo.

So this weekend, my friend Leigh is coming to town! I anticipate this weekend to be fairly low-key... but when you've got a college friend coming in for a visit... sometimes you just never know. Low-key could end up turning into last call (that actually ends up happening a lot in my experience... maybe that's just me).

My goal for the weekend, running-wise, is to get in a total of 20 miles. Which shouldn't be too bad. I'm glad that the weekend I'm having a visitor coincides nicely with my training plan... hopefully the timing will be... by the time I get in from my runs... she'll be up and ready for breakfast. Because my favorite thing to do after a run is go out for a big breakfast.

I'm running a 5k tomorrow. It's apart of the Nashville Striders Grand Prix. Which... lately, I've been totally sucking in. The half marathon I ran a couple weeks ago? Yeah, I got ZERO points. Ugh. That means that there were 5 girls (or more) ages 25-29 that are Nashville Striders Members that ran faster than me. WTF? I need to step up my game... I mean, once you get into the the 30s bracket, it's all over those 30-somethings run FAST. This is my last year to shine. And tomorrow, gosh darnit, I plan on racking up some damn points.

I would also like to PR, but in case I don't... you didn't hear (read) me say that.
