What to do, what to do...

Saturday, I'm running two races. A 5k at 8:00 and a 10k at 9:00. And for my efforts I will supposedly be awarded some kind of arm warmers, which I'm sure I'll think look cool... but will get me even more various weird looks around town. It's been established... I don't give a shit what I look like when running (as long as I don't look like a pansy, of course). (Hahahahahah, I just had a great idea... I should wear the running skirt with the arm warmers!)

I'd like to get in some interval training this week... and since I haven't yet, that means... tomorrow.

So... what should I do? Should I just do my regular Yasso 800s at my marathon goal time: 3:59. Or, should I mix it up a bit and do something different since I have a race on Saturday. (The 5k really doesn't matter to me, but the 10k is apart of the Grand Prix, so... I need to kick as much ass as I possibly can... Because, Nashville Strider bitches ages 25-29 always bring it).

I was kind of toying with the idea of doing some 1600s. Maybe 3x1600? And maybe 10 seconds slower than my 10k pace?

Housekeeping:

So, I've got a random update here on the Maximum Greens Vitamin Supplements. I can honestly say that I got nothing from them. And, I wanted to sooooooo bad. I mean, I figured the placebo effect alone would have me sleeping better and with more energy. But, sadly. It didn't. I'm still taking them, but I dont think I'll buy another bottle when I run out. I'm sure the 4000% of my daily value of Rosehips is good for me... but I'm not sure it's worth spending 20 bucks a month for. My brother (who bought the more expensive type of Maximum Greens... some kind of daily pack of separate pills) is still all sprite-ly and svelte from it, so... maybe it's a dude thing.

I would run a lighter workout tomorrow so you are not tired for the races. I understand that both the 5K and 10K are hilly, so you don't want to be too fatigued during the 10K so you can kick ass. My pansy ass, by the way, still has not run since the 18 miler on Saturday.

agreed with Stang, I would NOT do a speed workout...I would do a decent mileage run at at slow pace and just get the time on your legs. if you were to do speed it woulda been Monday or yesterday..back to back races will drain your legs so you need the energy...you'll be fine! Goodluck!

I agree, no speedwork! I'm thinking of doing an easy 8-10 miler again and then taking Friday off. Booya...
