The countdown is on!

In less than 6 hours I will be boarding a plane bound for Washington DC! Wooo Hooo!

While I'm disappointed that I won't be running the Marine Corps Marathon, as planned, I am excited to cheer on fellow marathoners who have trained so hard for the race on Sunday. A special good luck to MJC, plus the MMRF Marathon Team, who have all been raising money for a truly wonderful cause. I'm also looking forward to cheering with runner blogger pal, Joe, and hanging out with good friends that I haven't seen in way too long.

And then on Monday, I'm off to the great city of NYC!! It'll be my first time there, so you can bet that I'll become tourist extraordinaire. Be prepared for lots of pictures of my travels.
As a last note, I just want to say thank you to everyone that left sweet and encouraging comments on my post about not being able to run. Isn't our network of runner bloggers great? It's so nice to have the support and expertise from friends who share the passion to run...and understand and can relate to the ups and downs of the sport. You guys are awesome.

I'm so jealous that you're going to NYC! That's my city...if you need advice or tips, don't hesitate to hit me up! Have a blast cheering and touristing it up! I'll just keep sitting at my desk making up words, I guess...

Have fun in both Washington, DC and NYC! If you have time while you're here in DC, check out this restaurant called Matchbox that's right off of the Gallery Place/Chinatown metro. If you're a carnivore, they have mini-burgers to DIE for!
