This morning I got another 5+ miler in. I want to sleep in soooooo bad. Friday... friday morning I will sleep in.
So, tomorrow afternoon, I am leaving work early and going to the mountains for a long weekend. I was there a few months ago and I was staying in a cabin close to a park that had a track, so I got up and ran there 2-3 mornings.
This time, I'm staying in a cabin again, but no where near that park, but hopefully there will be some decent roads that I can run on when I'm there.
The plan is this: Tomorrow morning I will get up extra early and get my weekly long run in (on the dreadmill). And then I'll take friday off, scope out an area to run and then run 4-6 miles on Saturday and Sunday. Sounds like a good plan, huh?
Running while out of town is very important. I can't use being out of town as an excuse not to run. Because I will be out of town for a few weekends this fall (following my beloved gamecocks) and I need to get used to making myself find places to run.
run, rest, eat, bitch, buy things, cross-train, blog, repeat.

If you did it in the Gulf Shores heat and humidity, you can definitly run in the mountains!
Yeah, but heat and humidity is nothing compared to massive hills. Those cabins can be lodged in the side of a mountain.
