This past weekend The KoB and I got to go to NY for a Charity Ball. The company that he works for bought a table at the shindig and we got all gussied up with some of his co-workers for the event.
We clean up pretty well, I think.
I wish we had to dress like this everyday.
We had an absolute blast. Lots of food, booze, and dancing. It's like my trifecta of fun. On the flip-side of that, it means I didn't get in a long run this weekend. Sure, I had delusions of running 20 miles in Central Park on Monday. But, we settled for a touristy 5 miles. It was fun and it's not like the 20 miler is going to do me any good at this point anyway. (Apparently, I'm just always delusional about something).
I feel like this gif is the story of my life.
On the Weight Watcher's front, I have lost 12 pounds in 10 weeks. I couldn't be more thrilled. Especially considering I have been out of town for 4 weekends out of those 10. And damn if it isn't hard to eat healthy when you're traveling. I'm going to keep trucking and hope that I can drop the next 17 pounds within then next 20 weeks. (I had an original goal of being my goal weight by 12/31, but, yeah... that ain't happening).
On the Running front, I am just going to keep trucking with that, too. I'm feeling good and while my endurance isn't good enough for a marathon... I think I will at least survive in a couple of weeks. And, honestly, I'll just walk as much of the damn thing as I have to. No shame.
I am TOYING with the idea of letting a late Spring Race be a goal race (as opposed to a just cross the state off the list race). But, damn, it's hard to train during Tax Season. So, we will see. And by goal, I mean, just any specific time goal. Probably be something like, Break 3:50 or PR or something. TBD.
