First of all... I suck at cheerleadering.
Watching the CMM this year, was quite different than watching the CMM last year. Last year, as a spectator it sucked, cause it was cold and rainy (which, didn't deter me and my cheering, I might add) and this year was awesome. Upper 60s, clear blue sky. Perfect conditions for cheering, awful conditions for running.
All I can say... THANK GOD, I'VE ALREADY DONE THE COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON AND MARKED THAT BITCH OFF MY LIST.
The weather is just too unpredictable in Nashville in April.
Anyway, congrats to all the finishers! I must say... from where I stood around mile 3.5 most of you looked pretty damn good. (I'm sure my clapping and hollering... "way to go!" and "looking good runners!" helped tremendously, but I'll give most of the credit to you).
run, rest, eat, bitch, buy things, cross-train, blog, repeat.

i wish i had thought of this last week when you were asking for cheer ideas, but i remembered one race when this lady screamed, "oh my god! you are running a marathon!" which was awesome.
I love cheering on other runners. I haven't gone and cheered at a marathon in a long time...and you have inspired me to do so. glad it was such great cheering weather!
Spectating races makes me nervous. Just like watching balance beam at the Olympics...I know all the bad things that could/will go wrong.
I cheered the Derby Marathon that same day...temps for Marathoners got in the 80's...horrible...no one showed up either the winner was like 2:44 for men.
"THANK GOD, I'VE ALREADY DONE THE COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON AND MARKED THAT BITCH OFF MY LIST."
Ditto! I won't be doing that one again!
Sounds like a beautiful day... you and your mom are ridiculously similar. I couldn't not comment about that.
