Okay, so you all know I'm running the Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon (which, I've taken to calling the "cannons and shit marathon" kind of rolls off the tongue, no?) next weekend.
And you also know that I've pretty much decided to run the Memphis Half-Marathon in December.
But... what you don't know is I have a secret... At first it started out as just a passing thought... and now it's turned into a full blown brilliant idea. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to run the Memphis full marathon or the Huntsville full marathon in December.
I mean... obviously, if I die in the cannons and shit marathon or if I struggle really bad, maybe I won't... but I'm like... 90% on board with this idea. Maybe I'm just delusional. Maybe I'm forgetting just how much a marathon kicks your ass... but, I don't know... I think I can handle it. I'm still mulling it over and definitely won't sign up for either for awhile (cause, I have this thing with signing up for races... I actually JUST TODAY signed up for the cannons and shit marathon. I'm weird, don't ask). But... I'm liking the idea, a lot...
run, rest, eat, bitch, buy things, cross-train, blog, repeat.

I say go for it! You've already trained up, so you might as well take advantage of your legs while you can! Just go really easy on your in-between weeks and look at them as an additional taper. Good luck!

I think it's a great idea! You'll have already put in the training. The cannon marathon can be like a tempo run for the Memphis or Huntsville!
