Daily Kick in the Butt

Last year, I signed up to get a Daily Kick in the Butt from Runners World. These emails consist of a single quote from a pro runner, coach, literary figure or average Joe that have to do with running. This is today's:

To keep from decaying, to be a winner, the athlete must accept pain - not only accept it, but look for it, live with it, learn not to fear it.

-Dr. George Sheehan

I do not fear my aching calves.
I do not fear my aching calves.
I do not fear my aching calves.
And I will not decay!!

Interesting quote...but doesn't decay come with pain? ;)

Funny how that quote came at such a good time for you...I think it's important to listen to your body though, if it wants you to be a little nicer to it, then do; but work through the pain too, because there's usually a reward at the end.

If you need average Joe quotes, I can email you something fortune cookie-ish once a day.

More than happy to help!
