So far, fun is winning out, which is great but doesn't do much for my race times. Fortunately, I'm enjoying myself too much to worry about it much right now.Adam Dunnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12279231003232560154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8838911823399772442.post-85610255038105069132008-09-30T09:21:00.000-05:002008-09-30T09:21:00.000-05:00Me? If I had a solution, I'd gladly share it, but unfortunately I don't...I just try to feed off the belief that I will finish it because my drive is more than my fear!

We're all rooting for you here - regardless of what happens!
~KGypsiAdventurehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14114056397143074653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8838911823399772442.post-19459177482322692652008-09-29T12:31:00.000-05:002008-09-29T12:31:00.000-05:00Although Lil hates it, I often talk about failure ...Although Lil hates it, I often talk about failure and difficult situations, and I do it for a reason. If you have prepared, and have discussed it several times, and have a plan, you are better off when you face adversity during a run than if you have not.

I learned this from my track coaches. The week before our season started we would talk failure over and over, what will you do if you hit 'E,' what is your plan if someone pass you near the end, how will you respond when things are not going your way. Then, after that week, nothing but positive talk.

If you hit the wall again, this time you will be prepared, this time you will know you can run through it.Spikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04954768449359026865noreply@blogger.com
